The Great White Platinum Medical Stirrups provide safe and quick positioning assistance for improved surgical site access. This intra-operative, adjustable medical stirrup for gynecological, laparoscopic, and urological applications offers exceptionally precise placement, effectively minimizing the possibility of nerve damage. Exclusive axial rotation, high/low lithotomy and abduction/adduction from the handle improves patient positioning.

Simply squeeze the trigger for smooth and accurate patient adjustment without jeopardizing sterility or patient comfort. Once the trigger is released, the medical stirrup is firmly locked for optimum safety and surgical performance. The mounting blade design quickly and easily inserts into side-rail clamps. The raised lateral boot fin system protects the patient from superficial nerve damage.

The enhanced range of motion allows for -30° for low lithotomy, to 80° high lithotomy; abduction -9° to abduction 25° and also externally rotates out 20°. The Great White Platinum Surgical Stirrups are delivered fully assembled with included boot liners. Two required SpringLoc Clamps sold separately.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Become familiar with patient positioning device’s features before use with patient. Always practice on a nurse, physician or appropriate volunteer prior to using clinically.

SET-UP
  1. Snap Springloc clamps P/N 800-0338 on the accessory rails in the same location on opposite sides of the surgical table at the patient’s hip joints.
  2. Prior to placing the device into the Springloc clamp, identify the patient’s left and right side stirrup indicated on the boot label.

  3. Insert the blade of the stirrup into the clamp. Tighten the clamp by turning the handle to the right.

  4. Ensure the patient is positioned on the surgical table in accordance with the procedure and surgeon requirements.
WARNING!! To prevent patient or operator injury from inadvertent stirrup movement, securely tighten the accessory clamp and the boot clamp.

(1 & 4) Free Floating Boot Pivot, (2) Boot Clamp, (3) Trigger Handle
  5. Support the patient’s leg by grasping the heel in one hand and the underside of the knee with the other hand. Gently flex the knees and transfer the leg into the boot, then secure boot straps.
  6. To achieve the appropriate leg/foot position, loosen the boot clamp. Adjust the boot to desired position and re-tighten this clamp. Ensure the patient’s heels are securely seated in the heels of the boots.

  7. To achieve the appropriate lithotomy and abduction positions, squeeze the trigger, adjust to desired position and release to lock.

Note: Free-floating boot is designed to rotate about pivot shown below through-out the full range of motion, reducing the risk of superficial nerve injury.

TAKE DOWN
  1. Loosen the Springloc clamp and remove the stirrups by lifting them out of the clamps
  2. Remove the accessory clamps from the side rails.
